Weidmuller is expanding the terminal block sized (6mm) analog conditioner range with the introduction of new ACT20M signal isolation and conversion models. These new models increase the breadth of analog functionality and provide converting, conditioning and isolation for temperature sensors and bipolar DC sources.
The new ACT20M models offer high value solutions for thermocouple and RTD signal conversions, where either auxiliary power or output-loop power is available, and where range setting by DIP-switch is required.
Only 6mm wide, the ACT20M offers impressive functionality. The highly adjustable switch provides access to hundreds of temperature range combinations per model, selection of outputs (voltage/mA), response time and wire-break failure mode. Performance is not compromised by the small housing size. Measurement accuracy, temperature coefficient and isolation ratings are comparable with the current generation of full-sized products. The auxiliary powered variants can be used with Weidmuller’s “Power rail” option. This saves significant wiring time for the installer by bussing the voltage supply between modules within the DIN-rail, eliminating wired jumpering.
Weidmuller’s ACT20M models have cULus and Division 2/Zone 2 approvals, making them ideal for both factory automation and process environment applications. The ACT20M range also offers both isolating and non-isolating converters, eliminating the need for long thermocouple lead wires or RTD cables.
