Lenel OpenCard™ Readers
Brief:
Indestructible Keypad with HID® Proximity
The Lenel OpenCard Reader series includes the most flexible readers in the industry. A single
reader supports all applicable ISO standards (14443 and 15693), including the new U.S.
Government PIV standard. All Lenel OpenCard Readers contain both 125 kHz proximity and
13.56 MHz contactless smart card support in one unit. Lenel OpenCard Readers provide
compatibility with Lenel prox, HID® proximity, GE/CASI ProxLite®, XceedID proximity, AWID
proximity and most 13.56 MHz technologies (see chart on back). By offering 125 kHz and 13.56
MHz technology in one reader, Lenel protects customers from obsolescence in the transition from
proximity technology to contactless smart card technology. Even if customers want to continue
using proximity technology today, the new Lenel OpenCard Readers offer economical migration to
the latest in smart card technology while accommodating their budget or timeline.
Brief:
The Lenel BT-ASPKP-HID/BT-ASPKP-iCLASS indestructible keypad reader offers the ultimate in strength and durability where proximity and PIN entry are required. With a tamperproof keypad and a weatherproof, solid brushed aluminum casing, Lenel indestructible keypads are designed to function dependably even in harsh climates or high-risk environments. The keypads are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
The model BT-ASPKP-HID/BT-ASPKP-iCLASS reader is equipped with two electronically
interlocked devices – an HID format proximity or iCLASS reader, and a piezoelectric keypad –contained within a single, indestructible, metal housing. The 12-position keypad is configured to
have two keys across by five keys down, and is designed for both international and U.S. single
gang electrical box mounting applications. It features an eight-bit word data output format, 5 to 12
volts DC power, 150 mA current draw, and red and green status LEDs. The keypad uses solid
state piezo sounder technology to provide audible feedback. A natural aluminum color is standard,
but other colors are also available upon request.
